HU Researchers Develop Possible Cure for AIDS

January 12, 2016, Prof. Abraham Loyter and Prof. Assaf Friedler, two Hebrew University scientists, believe they are on the verge of curing AIDS. Up until now HIV carriers have fought the deadly virus with a drug cocktail that could at best prevent the virus from spreading. Their treatment could potentially be a way to cure an HIV infection completely and save millions of lives.

After years of research Prof. Loyter and Prof. Friedler are set to begin clinical trials on human beings within three months. Their work and its potential were featured in an article on Ynet.,7340,L-4750903,00.html
